Turn on the radio by rotating the Function switch (15) to the "FM" or "AM" position. 2. Adjust the Volume control (16) to the desired sound level. Battery operation Installing the batteries, first turn battery cover fixture anti-clockwise to loosen and put down the battery cover. Insert 6 x D size ( UM-1 ) batteries into the compartment. Ensure the batteries are inserted in accordance with the diagram shown. Close the battery cover and fasten the fixture by turning clockwise. If the radio is not to be used for any extended period of time, it is recommended that the batteries are removed from the radio. 2. AC operation Before you plug the AC cord into the AC socket, be sure the voltage is correct. If you have batteries in the radio and you use the AC power cord , the batteries will automatically be disconnected. Pull back the compartment door and cylinder of the AC cord storage, pull out the AC cord to get the required length to the AC socket. You can store the AC cord after use in the opposite way you pull out the AC cord. 3. Powered via DC IN socket You can use a stereo or mono headphones set with a 3.5 mm plug for listening to radio programs via headphones. When you insert the headphones plug, the speaker is disconnected. This is a mono type radio, sound from the headphones set will be all in mono even if you apply a stereo headphones set. AUX IN socket Switch the function switch to AUX. position. Connect a stereo or mono audio source ( like CD walkman ) to this input to listen the external audio source via the speaker. Microphone IN socket Switch the function switch to either AM or FM or AUX. position. Connect a wired microphone and adjust the Volume Control, the radio will act as a microphone system. All the other audio programs will be disconnected once the microphone is plugged into the socket. The microphone used should be a dynamic microphone with a 6.5 mm in jack. LED Illuminator You can press and release the LED illuminator switch to give signal. If you press harder and release, the LED illuminator will light up for illumination purpose. Utilisation des piles. Installation des piles. Tournez tout d'abord les vis du compartiment à piles dans le sens inverse de l'aiguille d'une montre pour retirer le couvercle. Insérez 6 piles de taille D ( UM-1 ) dans le compartiment. Assurez vous que les piles sont insérées comme indiqué sur le schéma ci-dessous. Fermez le couvercle du compartiment en tournant les vis dans le sens de l'aiguille d'une montre. Si la radio n'est pas utilisée pendant une longue période, il est recommandé de retirer les piles de la radio. 2. Utilisation sur courant alternatif AC. Avant de brancher le câble AC dans la prise de courant AC, assurez vous que le voltage est correct. Si vous avez des piles dans la radio et que vous utilisez le câble AC, les piles seront automatiquement déconnectées. Replacez le couvercle du compartiment et le cylindre de rangement du câble AC, tirez le câble AC pour obtenir la longueur dont vous avez besoin. Vous pouvez ranger le câble AC après utilisation dans le sens inverse duquel vous avez tiré le câble. 3. Alimentation via une prise DC IN La radio peut également être alimentée via une prise DC IN, qui accepter 12 Volt DC. Werking op batterijen Draai voor het installeren van de batterijen eerst het mechanisme op het batterijkapje tegen de klok in, om het los te maken en trek vervolgens het kapje naar beneden. Plaats 6 x D ( UM-1 ) batterijen in het compartiment. Controleer dat de batterijen er volgens de aanwijzingen in het diagram ingeplaatst zijn. Sluit het batterijenkapje en zet het vast door het mechanisme met de klok mee te draaien. Haal de batterijen uit het compartiment als u de radio langere tijd niet zult gebruiken. 2. Werking met netvoeding (AC) Controleer, vóór u de stekker van het stroomsnoer in het stopcontact steekt, dat het voltage juist is. Als de radio batterijen bevat terwijl u het stroomsnoer gebruikt, dan worden deze automatisch afgesloten. Trek het compartimentkapje en de cilinder voor het stroomsnoer naar achteren en trek het snoer eruit tot op de gewenste lengte. U kunt na het gebruik op dezelfde manier het snoer weer opslaan in het snoercompartiment. 3. Voeding via de gelijkstroomingang (DC IN) De radio kan ook voeding ontvangen via de 12 Volt DC gelijkstroomingang. Deze is ontworpen voor gebruik in een auto of boot, zodat u de radio ook buitenshuis of op een boot kunt gebruiken. Koptelefoonaansluiting U kunt een stereo of mono koptelefoon met 3,5mm stekker gebruiken om naar de radio te luisteren. Als u de koptelefoon aansluit, wordt de luidspreker uitgezet.
